Knaresborough based GSPK Circuits will showcase its new company Ampohm Wound Products and its new product - Reflecta-finish - at Nepcon UK 2006

Nepcon, the UK's only dedicated exhibition for the electronics industry, will this year relocate back to the NEC in Birmingham and takes place from 9th to 11th May. Supported by the likes of Electronics Weekly, Smart Group and Intellect, GSPK Circuits will be situated in Hall 12 at the UK Can Make It Village, on Stand UK 11.

With the European RoHS Directive deadline only months away, the three day event is set to provide visitors and exhibitors with the opportunity to try, test and use lead-free alloys - thus providing the opportunity to utilise production equipment with lead-free alternative alloys.

GSPK has been focusing its attention on carefully targeted sector specific areas and as a result has not only launched a new company but it has also developed a new product which reflects the company's attention to quality, service, innovation and speed of response.

Nepcon is an ideal platform for GSPK Circuits to launch its new company Ampohm Wound Products which has been set up to manufacture and develop a specialist range of standard and custom made capacitors and interference compressors for industrial, audio and automotive markets.

This strategic move dovetails nicely with GSPK's specialist printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing capabilities and the company's expertise in the sale and distribution of PCBs will enhance Ampohm's performance and drive it into new markets.

Furthermore, the company has developed its very own product which is relevant to both lighting and automotive markets.

Reflecta-finish enables light from power driven LEDs to be greatly enhanced by the use of custom laminated finishes - a development which not only benefits the bottom line, but also benefits the environment.

This product will be showcased during the event.

Steve Lloyd, Managing Director of GSPK Circuits and Ampohm Wound Products said: 'Nepcon was a huge success for us last year and we are hoping that the relocation of the exhibition to the NEC, Birmingham will provide us with an excellent opportunity to meet industry focused representatives and discuss our latest developments with them'.

'Nepcon will offer us a great networking opportunity and we are hoping it will allow introductions to individuals who can benefit from our skills, expertise and new product developments'.

Having already achieved the comprehensive quality management standard ISO/TS16949, the company is just weeks away from becoming the country's first printed circuit board BSI RoHS trusted supplier.
