Workers celebrate further NVQ achievements

Workers at GSPK Electronics are celebrating their recent accomplishment in gaining NVQ Level 3 qualifications at a special awards ceremony at the firm's premises at GSPK Technology Park.

Workers at GSPK Electronics are celebrating their recent accomplishment in gaining NVQ Level 3 qualifications at a special awards ceremony at the firm's premises at GSPK Technology Park. One of the company's missions is to create a secure and stimulating environment for all colleagues, and one of the ways they do this is by supporting the workforce in enhancing its skills set. GSPK Electronics believes that investing in the futures of its colleagues will enhance the quality of service for its customers.

This investment is not only limited to its people but also to new machinery and manufacturing techniques.

The company is dedicated to reviewing each of its workers training needs through initial assessments and regular company appraisals from which training schedules are identified and implemented.

The achievers have achieved NVQ Level 3 and have been working towards their qualifications for the past 18 months.

They received the award from Ken Caines, their representative from Virtual College.

Further colleagues begin NVQ Level 2 and 3 this autumn.

Caines said: 'The portfolios produced by these candidates at GSPK have been of a very high standard and have exceeded all the standards required by the awarding body'.

Anne Quinn, Human Resources Manager for GSPK Electronics said: 'We at GSPK offer a developmental opportunity for all of our colleagues to pursue NVQ accreditation at the appropriate level'.
