SAW filters clean up WiMAX signals
Sawtron has released a range of high-rejection SAW IF filters for 4G WiMAX 802.16e mobile broadband applications for use in transceiver basestations.
Available from Gigahertz Marketing Solutions, Sawtron has released a range of high-rejection SAW IF filters for 4G WiMAX 802.16e mobile broadband applications for use in transceiver basestations.
Typical is the SF0468A1 which is centred on 468MHz with a rejection at Fc+/-2.5MHz of 2.0dB maximum.
The strength of Sawtron's design is the minimum 40dB (48dB typical) rejection at Fc+/-10MHz.
Passband insertion loss is typically 12.8dB.
The input/output impedances are both 50ohm, with matching circuit, and the device is enclosed in a standard 7.0 x 5.0mm SMT package.
Other frequencies, including low frequency variants, are available and custom design product is available on request.
Sawtron specialises in SAW filters with steep shape factors resulting in excellent rejection of LO and image signals in the transmitter and adjacent channel interference in the receiver system.
The company is able to turn round prototypes of new configurations in a few weeks.
