Lockheed Martin has selected the Gedae software development productivity tool for use on the Non Line-of-Sight - Launch System (NLOS-LS) programme. Gedae is a block diagramming programming tool that automatically implements high quality deployable software. After the system software functionality has been developed and verified on a workstation, Gedae implements the application by generating an application targeted to specific embedded multiprocessor and embedded hardware.

Gedae applies over 100 algorithms to achieve the implementation.

The developer is given complete control over the implementation.

The result rivals hand-coded efficiency and quality but with dramatically less development effort.

The versatility of the tool makes it available for all aspects of development including signal and data processing, application control, and integration with other systems.

Gedae addresses the complete problem and so avoids complex and costly interfaces between tools and the inefficiencies of mixed development methodologies.

Gedae improves productivity by more than 5x greatly reducing schedules, and development and life cycle costs.

Gedae President and CEO Bill Lundgren is excited about the relationship, stating: "Gedae looks forward to working with Lockheed Martin to ensure the success of the NLOS-LS.

We are committed to Lockheed Martin's successful use of Gedae".
