1.27mm-pitch for rugged micro interconnects
Now available from Genalog, new rugged micro interconnects on a 1.27mm pitch have been designed for applications requiring blind mating and/or a high number of mating cycles
They are available with 10 to 100 input/outputs and board spacing from 6 to 12mm. Some components have three-finger contacts stamped and formed with soft beryllium copper and then heat treated to optimise spring properties for a large number of cycles, but this contact design can also be formed with a phosphor-bronze alloy.
A new latching connector set is also now offered to increase separation force.
This feature does not permanently lock the connectors together but increases the separation force by up to 400% for small lead counts and by more than 150% for high lead counts.
