Oxford Semiconductor has signed a franchise distribution agreement with design-in distributor GD Technik. Under the terms of the agreement the UK's number one design-in distributor will be supporting Oxford Semiconductor's leading edge line-up of Firewire and USB connectivity chips for storage products, and bridging solutions for Bluetooth and GPRS applications, as well as its more traditional I/O interfaces for UART, parallel port and PCIbus interconnections. "There is a great deal of synergy between the two companies", said Lisalynn Carter, Managing Director of GD Technik.

"Both companies are design orientated and place great emphasis on in-depth customer support and application development.

The Oxford Semiconductor range is a great fit with our current product portfolio giving us extra breadth and depth in the design-in capability we offer our customers".
