Accellera has become a supporting organisation of GSPx 2005, the international embedded solutions event. GSPx 2005 will take place from 24the to 27th October at the Santa Clara Convention Centre in California. 'The quality of supporting organisations and sponsors such as Accellera underscores the vital role that GSPx plays in the industry', said Dr Amnon Aliphas.
'Companies and organisations will converge at GSPx to exchange ideas and explore new technologies'.
Accellera was formed in 2000 to meet the electronic design industry's needs for a methodology based on worldwide standards and open interfaces.
The organisation was formed through the merger of Open Verilog International and VHDL International to focus on identifying new standards, development of standards and formats, and to foster the adoption of new methodologies.
'Accellera drives the worldwide development and use of standards required by systems, semiconductor and design tools companies, which enhance a language-based design automation process', said Victor Berman, Accellera Marketing Chair.
'At GSPx 2005, we have the perfect opportunity to promote open standards to our direct community'.
Accellera joins other supporting organisations at GSPx 2005 including BDTI, IEEE, OCP International Partnership, VSI Alliance, TechOnline, OpenSystems Publishing and the RTC Group.
