Agilent praises excellent performance
Agilent Semiconductor has awarded pan-European distributor Future Electronics its "Performance Excellence Award" for new sales growth during 2002.

Agilent Semiconductor has awarded pan-European distributor Future Electronics its "Performance Excellence Award" for new sales growth during 2002. The award acknowledged the new business Future had won for Agilent over the past 12 months in a market, which according to some sources, suffered a decrease in the DTAM of 18%. It demonstrates Future's dedication to its franchises, and the determination of sales staff and technical solutions managers (TSMs) to meet the needs of customers.
Agilent engaged with Future as a franchised line only 18 months ago.
"When we decided to partner with Future we saw them as having a unique structure of technology-focused TSMs and sales staff that could be used to win new business from new customers for Agilent", said Derek Tibbitts, Director, Agilent European Distribution Channel.
"Although the two companies are relatively new to each other, Future has truly exceeded all of our expectations, with 403% sales growth during 2002, a high proportion represented by new business and new customers".
The Agilent award followed two other distribution awards for Future Electronics during 2002.
Richard Austen of Cypress Semiconductor presented Future Europe with an award for its outstanding sales performance in the first half of 2002, and Microchip Technology praised Future for its service to the franchise through the "Long Term Partnership Award".
"We appreciate the commitment and dedication Future staff make to selling our highly innovative embedded products to customers", said Gary Marsh, European Sales Director, Microchip Technology.
He continued: "Our relationship with Future Electronics is excellent.
This close working relationship is crucial as it enables us to roll out programmes with Future fast and effectively, ensuring a high business return".
Graeme McGrory, VP MD Future Electronics Europe, said: "It is always fantastic to be recognised by our suppliers.
That these awards are for different categories - performance excellence, sales growth and partnership - reveals our all-round distribution excellence".
