The FarSync WAN T1U card is a very high performance intelligent bus-mastering universal PCI-X compatible communications card that will support both 3.3 and 5V bus signalling. The adapter offers considerably improved performance at high line speeds compared with the previous model FarSync WAN T2P card, it operates at line speeds up to 10Mbit/s full duplex making it particularly suitable for satellite upload access systems and PC based router/firewall applications. The single-port card handles RS-530, X.21, V.35 and V.24 physical network connections.

The FarSync WAN T1U is available and shipping now.

The half-length card can operate in 32bit, 64bit and PCI-X slots running at either 66 or 33MHz and will enable operation in newer 1U rack-mount PCs that have just a single 66MHz 3.3V PCI slot.

It features bus-mastering to an onboard CPU and communications controller and is supported on Linux, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

Versions of the card are available as part of the FarSync WAN range of high-speed routing products.

The board is compliant with PCI version 2.3 as well as the forthcoming PCI 3.0 standard.
