Windows products support ISO Transport
FarSite has enhanced its popular FarSync X.25 product range for Windows XP, 2000 and NT - to support ISO Transport classes 0, 1, 2 and 3 (ISO 8073-connection oriented transport protocol)
There is also IP over X.25 support included as standard for Windows 2000 and XP.
One feature that stands out in the new release is a built-in multiport line monitor that allows all X.25 lines to be monitored in real time.
The monitor includes X.25 decode and data capture for later analysis.
These features are normally only found in high-end hardware based line monitors costing more than 10 times the price of a PC based server.
The assistance given by the monitor is useful during development, but can prove absolutely invaluable during deployment and end-customer support, greatly reducing the future cost of system support to systems integrators.
The new release is shipping as standard with all new cards and is also available for download at no charge to existing customers.
