Focus EDL has been appointed by Music Semiconductors to cover the UK and Ireland

Focus EDL, the leading electronic components distributor specialising in providing the communications, high-performance datacomms and professional electronics industries with a broad range of products from the USA, Asia and Europe, announces that it has been appointed by Music Semiconductors.

The agreement, which covers the UK and Ireland, has immediate effect.

Established more than 15 years ago, Music Semiconductors is recognised as a technology leading developer of devices that improve the performance of both Internet and wireless networks.

'The Music Semiconductors franchise adds yet another capability to our communications and datacomms product offering', says Geoff Philpot, Focus EDL's Managing Director.

'Music is best known for its content addressable memory (CAM) product family which speed networks by accelerating packet transmission'.

'The CAMs achieve this by making a direct packet address match rather than searching for destination information'.
