Focus EDL has been appointed by EIC, one of the industry's leading manufacturers of discrete semiconductor devices. The agreement, which covers the UK and Ireland, has immediate effect. 'For some time now, we have been actively looking to add more discrete devices to our product line up and we are very pleased to have partnered with EIC', says Geoff Philpot, Focus EDL's Managing Director.
'EIC is recognised as an industry leader in voltage control and circuit protection devices and brings to Focus a wide range of Zener diodes, rectifier diodes, transient voltage suppressors and small signal, high speed diodes'.
'Although it is hard to describe these products as being at the very leading edge of technology, they can nevertheless be described as essential components for practically every board level application where they are used in a variety of ways to manage, limit and switch voltage and current', Philpot adds.
For EIC, Costas Geronikolos, European Managing Director said: 'We are very pleased to add Focus EDL as a new franchise partner'.
'We are highly selective in whom we appoint as official distributor and Focus EDL has met our strict criteria'.
'The Focus EDL team is dedicated to provide superior service and their extensive knowledge and design expertise in the relevant power electronics applications complements our 'focus' on power discrete products'.
'They have achieved regular success and sustained sales growth'.
'We look forward to working closely with Focus EDL to serve our customers with the broadest and most extensive portfolio of discrete diodes'.
