Focus EDL has been appointed by Eon Silicon Solutions as exclusive distributor for the UK and Ireland.
Eon is an established manufacturer of nonvolatile Flash memory with headquarters in Taiwan and with design offices in Santa Clara, California.
A fabless semiconductor company, Eon is a leader in developing high endurance, high-speed memory devices for use across the computing, comms and professional electronics industries.
'The addition of Eon's memory products fills an important gap in our component product offering for our networking and telecomms customer base', says Managing Director Geoff Philpot.
'It also complements our other memory lines which include SRAM and DRAM devices' Adds Philpot.
'Eon is particularly ideal because its products combine USA-based design with the price and quality advantages that come with Far Eastern manufacture'.
'This matches our philosophy of providing our customers with leading technology at competitive prices', he adds.
Eon's Flash memory family includes PIN for pin replacement parts from 512Kbit to 32Mbit, with 64Mbit devices due to be released later this year.
All feature high speed - as fast as 45ns - and high endurance - up to 1,000,000 write/erase cycles.
The agreement has immediate effect.
