Power relay keeps a lower profile
Fujitsu Components Europe has added a 16A rated device to its range of low-profile power relays.
Fujitsu Components Europe has been successfully selling traditional power relays like the VSB series in the European market for more than 20 years.
Now a new low-profile version enables users to reduce their equipment size and to cope with the increasing number of relays in their circuits.
The FTR-K1 is pin-to-pin compatible with the previous generation but is dramatically reduced in height.
The 16A device is the latest addition to the company's low-profile range that includes the FTR-F1 and FTR-H1.
Many applications use for example four single-pole relays or two two-pole relays rated at 4 and 5A and one 16A relay in the control board.
Fujitsu Components offers a complete answer for these requirements.
With its power consumption of 400mW, or 250mW for the high sensitivity version, and high switching capacity, the relay's performance and power consumption to switching power ratio are impressive and will contribute to a greener world.
The 16A relay is also an ideal selection when the designer of the control module does not know the actual load.
These designers are frequently confronted with the request to design a control module that can switch a range from 0 to 16A.
With an inductive load that might be 6A, or slightly capacitive, the optimal solution is to use the FTR-K1 in order to reach the required lifetime.
