Smaller size, more power and compliance with environmental regulations are all addresses by the FTR-MY power relay.

Smaller size, more power and compliance with environmental regulations are all addresses by the FTR-MY power relay.

The new device is the successor to Fujitsu's popular NY series: it is yet 31% lower in height and offers 8% less power consumption.

This is a high-performance, single-pole relay that weighs 2.5g and measures only 20 x 5 x 12mm.

Its compact packaging occupies 100mm2 of a printed circuit board area to meet high-density mounting requirements.

Furthermore, it is perfect suitable for applications such as programmable logic controllers, I/O modules and inverter control where small space is essential.

Fujitsu has also improved the FTR-MY's dielectric strength between coil and contacts to 3kV AC and surge strength to 5080V.

It is a high-sensitivity relay with a nominal power of 110mW and an operating power of 54mW.

Operating temperature range is from -40 to +90C.

There is also a high-voltage version available that offers a surge strength of 6kV AC (1.2 x 50us).

The FTR-MY has a 1 Form A contact arrangement and is available in the nominal coil voltages 4.5 to 24V DC.

Its maximum switching voltage is 277V AC, 125V DC.

The relay has high reliable bifurcated gold overlay silver alloy contacts and offers a contact rating of 5A at 250V AC/30V DC.

Its electrical life is rated at 50,000 operations for 5A and 100,000 operations for 3A.

The FTR-MY power relay meets the UL, CSA and IEC61131 safety requirements and complies with the new environmental criteria per WEEE/RoHS Directives and is lead and cadmium free.
