Fischer Connectors has developed a new low-profile receptacle and panel plug that it reckons provide an ideal design for the interconnection of modular systems.

The new low-profile DBPLU receptacle and SFPU panel plug, designed to maximise the available space in the device housing, have been engineered to make installation and servicing much simpler and are ideal for communication equipment, handheld instrumentation devices, probes, sensors and battery systems.

In combination, the DBPLU and SFPU provide an ideal design for the interconnection of modular systems.

Fully compatible with Fischer's popular push-pull high performance connector series, the DBPLU and SFPU are able to withstand the harshest environmental conditions, achieving IP68 (2m/24h) even when unmated and preventing moisture ingress.

Full hermetically sealed versions, designated DBPLE and SFPE, are available and are suitable for continuous immersion to 80m.

The new connectors will be launched on Stand 1307 at Mtec 2008, where Fischer will also exhibit a full range of high-quality multiway and coaxial connectors, including hybrid options combining liquid, gas, fibre and signal contacts.
