With more and more products being produced offshore, the link between local product designers in Europe and manufacturing counterparts in Asia is becoming increasingly challenging to many European businesses trying to differentiate and innovate new product designs. Established with some of Europe's top LCD designers in-house, Fiducia International offices in London and Munich have created the TailorDisplay programme to directly support customers across Europe as the design and development partner of choice when it comes to display technology. The service is offered free to customers looking to develop products locally and subsequently manufacture offshore.

This enables the most cost effective supply model for virtual and in-house manufacturers alike, while retaining the competitive advantage held by so many European companies through novel and inventive designs.

Typical savings come from both unit cost and reductions in development time which can be reduced by as much as 2 months in some cases.

'Our state-of-the-art LCD facility in China constitutes a significant advantage for us in the market', says Nick How, CEO of Fiducia.

'Customers need direct support when going through the design process but often don't get it from traditional sources due to the rapid change of manufacturing patterns globally'.

'Our in-house manufacturing ensures we can properly support businesses at every step of the product design and supply chain, wherever that may be located'.

So far the service has helped people in many areas of industry including consumer product development, instrumentation and medical devices.
