EMS, also referred to as contract manufacturing services, are increasingly retained by companies across a broad range of industries including computers, consumer, communications, networking and automotive, to augment overall manufacturing capacity.
Outsourcing the manufacturing and supply chain process provides vendors with a cost-effective channel to ensure that their final products, from cell phones to plasma screen TVs to consumer appliances, are available quickly to end markets.
Power components are critical to today's electronics, and Fairchild is positioned to supply leading power products to the EMS channel.
McGarry was most recently global sales director for ON Semiconductor.
His prior experience includes senior level sales positions for Motorola and Xerox.
