Power amp optimised for portable audio
The FAN7031 is a CMOS stereo power amplifier optimised for noise performance and current consumption in notebook, desktop computer and portable audio equipment applications
The FAN7031 is a dual, fully differential power amplifier in a 20-pin TSSOP-EP thermally enhanced package. The integrated, adaptive bias current control circuit of FAN7031 significantly decreases crossover distortion, even though it consumes low quiescent current. With excellent THD (total harmonic distortion) and PSRR (power supply rejection ratio) characteristics that are better than similar competing devices, the FAN7031 guarantees high output performance in portable audio applications.

The FAN7031 extends battery life in portable applications by consuming just 4uA in shutdown mode over the entire power supply range of 2.7-5.5V.
It also allows single-ended operation (pin selectable) for headphone drive.
Internal gain adjustment is provided through two input pins.
These features make the FAN7031 well suited for notebook computers and other portable/handheld equipment requiring audio output.
