In addition, the introduction of a new plasma system will improve production flexibility and enable Exception to increase further its capability for quick-turnaround, high technology PCBs.
Garry Myatt, Sales Director at Exception PCB, said: 'With the ever-increasing demand of OEMs miniaturising their product ranges, the need for additional layers with fine line geometry continues to push the boundaries of technology'.
'Indeed, the market is demanding increased microvia capacity and we have now extended our capability to three machines'.
'Added to the installation of a new line for the production of copper-filled microvias, to aid increased routing density and thermal solutions, we are positioned ideally at the forefront of the marketplace'.
He continued: 'Thanks to the equipment now being used at Tewkesbury, our yield efficiency on flex-rigids has improved, dramatically'.
'With the installation of our plasma system, we are reducing the lead-times for flex-rigids, especially for the aerospace market'.
Exception PCB's management team is led by Chief Operating Officer Craig Wright, who is convinced that a strategy based on quality, innovation and world class manufacturing will create competitive advantage for the business, which along with sister companies VAR and EMS, has a combined turnover in excess of GBP 50 million.
Myatt concluded: 'These are exciting times for Exception PCB'.
'With the right team, equipment and strategy now in place, we are in a position to capitalise on the opportunities in front of us'.
