Elixent has appointed Andy Elms as VP of Customer Engineering to direct the technical service and support for its tier one customers. Elms has an extensive engineering management and customer support background and will manage the technical aspects of Elixent's pre-sales commercial engagements. He will also develop the pre and post sales support organisation to fulfil the needs of customers.
Prior to joining Elixent, Elms worked for ARC International (UK) (a leading semiconductor IP supplier) as the Director of Worldwide Customer Support and then the Director of Systems Engineering.
In these roles he was responsible for all customer support, growing ARC's support team from a small group to a powerful operation supporting many major customers on all key markets.
He also defined and managed product releases, system-level verification and test, and defined EDA methodologies for IC implementation and verification.
Before this he held senior ASIC marketing roles with Fujitsu Microelectronics and engineering roles with Nokia Mobile Phones.
Elms has a PhD in electronic and electrical engineering.
"Andy joins us at an exciting time and brings valuable experience in building teams to support multi-national customers to Elixent", said Kenn Lamb, CEO of Elixent.
"This appointment will enable us to increase the support for our customer engagements with leading semiconductor manufacturers as set out in our last round of funding".
