Analyser speeds fibre testing in the field
The FTB-5800 chromatic dispersion analyser is a new high-performance test module for the EXFO FTB-400 field-testing platform, and is essential for deployments and upgrades of high-speed DWDM networks.
The EXD-350 is used to install and troubleshoot digital subscriber line (DSL) circuits that are provisioned to carry triple-play services (video, voice and data) over high-speed access networks.
This rugged test solution acts as a golden modem for confirming connection rates as well as other key metrics provided by ADSL, ADSL2, and ADSL2+.
It also can quickly verify internet connectivity and identify impairments within the local loop that may affect the performance of the DSL service.
As large-scale deployments of DSL are becoming a reality among network service providers to address emerging broadband triple-play applications, the need for a rapid-service installation has increased.
The EXD-350 has been optimised for quick and easy installation of ADSL services and has been purpose-built for installation technicians who do not require a higher-end, multi-service test solution.
In addition to testing upstream and downstream data rates and other important parameters of a DSL circuit, the EXD-350 can perform ATM-layer testing and PING testing to confirm internet connectivity.
A standard auto-test feature allows the user to quickly qualify the integrity of the copper loop.
All measurements can be carried out with a single button press, allowing rapid testing.
