Capvis 4 is the new, low cost vision inspection system from Envisage Systems, which is designed for the four- or six-sided inspection of components such as capacitors, diodes, resistors and other small devices. Although Capvis 4 is based on state of the art, advanced image processing and operates at high speeds, it is a low cost system and has negligible maintenance and running costs. The software is completely flexible and enables Envisage Systems to incorporate new checks or inspect new components at any time.

The Capvis system is easy to use with control of the machine being from a single switch.

The system consists of a precision bowl feeder, linear track, mechanical transport system, including turnover device and independent reject systems, and a camera vision system housed in a 19in rack assembly but, due to the flexible design, the specification can be altered according to customer requirements.

The system is designed to run at between 35,000 and 45,000 parts per hour, although this is dependent on the size of the component and the complexity of the inspection task.
