Unusually, each of the 16 video inputs on the Picolo V16 H.264 simultaneously delivers a raw and compressed video stream.

The Picolo V16 H.264 from Euresys is a video capture board with audio capability featuring H.264 onboard compression for 16 video inputs.

Each video input delivers simultaneously a raw and compressed video stream.

This unusual feature allows to simultaneously capture and to preview each video input.

The compressed images can be stored on the hard disk or transferred by the network, and the uncompressed images can be immediately displayed or can be used for video analytics.

Both streams are independently configurable: frame rate control, resolution control, overlay, masking features can be set autonomously.

The Picolo V16 H.264 is a PCI Express x1 board and implements, for system integration, 32 general-purpose I/O lines and a pass-through buffered video output with cascade capability.

To operate the Picolo V16 H.264, DirectShow filters interfaces for Windows are provided.
