Eurocircuits.com online printed circuit board manufacturers announces the completion of its new automatic electroless nickel-gold line

to meet increasing demand for this popular RoHS-compliant surface finish. Dirk Stans, Eurocircuits' Joint Managing Director, explains: 'For the last 9 months we have conducted an online survey of our users to see which RoHS-compliant surface finish they preferred'. 'More than 55% of respondents have opted for electroless nickel-gold over electroless silver'.

'To meet this customer-led demand we have installed a new, fully automatic wirebond-compatible electroless nickel-gold line'.

The new line forms part of a EUR5,000,000 investment in new production capacity over the last two years to meet the rapidly increasing demand for Eurocircuits' online prototype and small-series PCB services.

Dirk Stans again: 'European manufacturers cannot compete with low-cost manufacturers in the Far East for high-volume production, but there remains a massive user-base of specialist manufacturers who require a low-cost source for small-series PCBs on their doorstep'.

'Our online order-pooling production model has proved highly successful across Europe with growth rates in excess of 40% per year'.

Eurocircuits' online model cuts time to market as users can get prices, confirm deliveries, place and progress orders directly off the web-site without waiting for a manual response.

Uniquely all jobs are automatically 100% CAM verified before being put into work.
