Euroquartz showcases frequency-control devices
Euroquartz is exhibiting range of products at Electronica 2008, 11-14 November, New Munich Trade Fair Centre, Munich, Germany.
Euroquartz will show the range of XpressO configurable oscillators and voltage-controlled crystal oscillators (VCXO) from Fox Electronics, high-temperature and high-shock surface mount oscillators from Statek and a surface mount temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) from Greenray Industries.
The company is also exhibiting examples of products from its portfolio of frequency-control devices, including the latest SST (spread-spectrum technology) oscillators offering low EMI emissions.
The XpressO products feature a family of proprietary ASICs designed and developed with a key focus on noise-reduction techniques.
Offering a wide range of benefits, XpressO oscillators and VCXOs fulfil the requirement for quick delivery where short lead times are essential - production quantities can be delivered within just two weeks as opposed to six or eight weeks for current devices.
With custom frequencies available from 0.75 to 1350MHz, XpressO crystal oscillators and VCXOs offer a choice of HCMOS, LVPECL or LVDS outputs in 7 x 5mm or 5 x 3.2mm package options.
Supply voltages of 3.3 or 2.5V are available and the XpressO range offers extremely low phase jitter of 1ps (approximately 10 times better than programmable devices).
New Statek CXOMHT surface mount oscillators are high-temperature versions of the CXOM range and offer high stability and fast start-up.
The AT crystalbased 32.768kHz CXOMHT oscillator is designed to operate at temperatures up to 200C with a total frequency stability of 200ppm compared to approximately 1,000ppm for a tuning forkbased 32.768kHz oscillator.
The device can also be supplied in a high-shock version (CXOMHG) that features 10,000g shock survivability.
The T1220 is a new surface mount TCXO from Greenray Industries that offers temperature stabilities more usually associated with oven-controlled temperature compensated (OCXO) devices as low as +/-7 x 10-8 over an operating temperature range as wide as 50 to +95C.
Equally impressive, the T1220 features current consumption of less than 30mA.
The Greenray T1220 has been designed for applications that require tight stability, low input power (virtually no heat dissipation) and no warm-up time.
Its compact, industry-standard surface mount package measures just 20.3 x 12.7 x 8.4mm.
Available in frequencies from 10 to 50MHz and with either a 3.5 or 5V supply, the T1220's rugged package and g sensitivity make it ideal for portable as well as airborne applications in demanding environments.
Euroquartz's EQHM range offers a cost effective solution for clock oscillator generated EMI problems without the need for PCB redesign phases.
These spread-spectrum oscillators reduce the EMI emissions generated by the clock itself by as much as 10dB.
With EQHM components, the need for traditional EMI screening techniques such as ferrite components, RF gaskets and shielding can be reduced and sometimes even eliminated completely.
EQHM SST oscillators are available in a choice of package styles including 7 x 5mm ceramic, 5 x 3.2mm and full or half size DIL formats.
Frequency ranges from 5 to 200MHz are available with a choice of modulation rates and frequency spreads.
Euroquartz is also showing examples from its wide portfolio of products that encompasses quartz crystals, resonators, oscillators, VCXOs, TCXOs, OCXOs, filters and timing modules.
Euroquartz is exhibiting on stand 156 in Hall B6.
