Emka 1016 series self-adhesive gasket is now available in fire resistant versions to UL94V0 and 94HB ratings and in EMI-protective formats to reduce electrical and magnetic interference. This closed cell expanded neoprene comes in standard strips from 3 to 80mm thick and catalogue widths from 10 up to 80mm, with unlimited custom configurations, such as sheets and punched shapes. EMC versions have a conductive external skin, which attenuates the transmission of electromagnetic interference across the sealed boundary.
Typical applications for 1016 gasket include gap sealing, noise reduction, damping and impact cushioning on cabinets, furniture and machinery.
1016 series gaskets in neoprene and natural rubber are self-adhesive to clean nonporous surfaces, including painted/unpainted metal, plastics and sealed natural materials, such as varnished timber.
Specifications of 1016 series neoprene include working temperatures of -30 to +70C (fire resistant versions -40 to +85C) and resistance to many typical commercial/industrial chemicals and gases.
