Heat controllers improve IT reliability
Liebert HPM is particularly suitable to protect complex installations dedicated to the processing of huge data volumes
Increasing power in IT architectures means an exponential increase of heat dissipated by more and more powerful servers and high-density solutions.
Emerson Network Power's Liebert HPM conditioners are available in different versions according to the airflow direction, whether top-down, bottom-up or displacement.
Power ratings are available up to 200kW.
Liebert HPM is particularly suitable to protect complex installations dedicated to the processing of huge data volumes, like those handled by banking institutes, insurance companies and Telco enterprises.
The Direct Expansion option, in both air-cooled and water-cooled versions, uses Copeland Digital Scroll compressors, whilst the chilled water option combines with Liebert HPC water chillers.
The Dual Fluid version provides full redundancy of the refrigerating system.
This version has air-cooled and water-cooled versions, which can run either on chilled water or with a direct expansion refrigeration cycle.
The Free Cooling version exploits low temperatures in the cold winter season to cool the environment, with consequent energy saving.
Equipped with monitoring solutions that optimise power and conditioning management, the Liebert HPM systems also feature the iCOM control which, through a special algorithm, directly connects to the corporate Ethernet to allow the units to communicate and to synchronise, thus ensuring high efficiency and environmental control.
The technical features of the Liebert HPM include EC fans with electronic control which require little maintenance and adjust the flow rate continuously, allowing up to 75% of energy costs to be saved when compared to air conditioners with AC motors.
In addition, Copeland Digital Scroll compressors continuously modulate the refrigerating power, ensuring a reduction of energy consumption and as they are able to adapt to sudden variations of heat load they can deliver power consumption reductions of up to 30%.
Another feature is the thermal exchange surface, designed to ensure a high energy efficiency ratio (EER), which in turn enables the achievement of a high sensible heat ratio (SHR).
All Liebert HPM conditioners carry Eurovent Certification.
