Front Panel Express is a new front panel customisation service delivering rapid response prototypes, backed by cost-effective volume capability. The new service from Elma Electronic complements the company's existing rotary control and custom enclosure offerings. Each 19in or subassembly panel is delivered "ready to load", complete with custom silk-screen, holes, anodised or painted finish and profiled as required.

The Europe-wide service is designed to speed the assembly process for system builders, whether supplied as piece parts, or together with Elma rotary controls and complete subrack assemblies.

Front Panel Express has been established in response to requests from OEMs who are concentrating on their core system-level expertise, and who are increasingly seeking reliable suppliers able to provide non-commodity solutions to tight project timescales.

Elma's experience with enclosure design not only enables them to provide a total packaging solution, but also enables them to optimise the panel design for appearance, functionality and manufacturability, as well as handling issues such as EMC.

Elma is now able to provide a one-stop source of both standard components and custom design services for enclosure subsystems.

Versatile computer-controlled facilities are used to support both standard and nonstandard cutouts, enabling fast production for any type of connector, control, indicator or mounting requirement.

Elma's pan-European network of offices gives local access to engineers who are ready to work from full customer drawings, sketches or even from an outline idea.

Elma can also supply bare CAD drawings for customers to mark up.
