Inspection system leads Munich launches
Ekra will launch a new 3D post print inspection system as well as new screen printing equipment at this years' Productronica next month in Munich, Germany
Two technology partners - WC Heraeus and EMS - will join Ekra's booth. The new 3D AOI system is based on FMI technology which was developed by Ekra to evaluate the printing quality of solder paste during or after the printing process. Ekra will also present the latest version of its best-selling inline screen and stencil printer X5 II as well as with CyberVision.

The X5II with CyberVision, jointly developed and integrated by Cyberoptics (USA) and Ekra (Germany), features an integrated 2D system.
This new vision system enables complete 2D control of the printer.
Another highlight will be an optimised version of the MX2, a powerful printer for small size substrates and complex applications in thick film, hybrid and solar printing processes.

Speedy printer suits high-volume lines
The X5 II HSP is an inline stencil and screen printer especially designed to further reduce cycle times in production lines with high volumes and high throughput rates
Ekra will also present the fully automatic inline printer X3, the high-end X5 Solar screen printer for solar and hybrid production which have already been announced at the SMT show in Nuremberg and are now available for shipping.
At the same time, Ekra will exhibit the X5HSP high-speed inline printer and the X1 semi-automatic stencil printer.
Technology partner Heraeus is represented by its Circuit Material Division (CMD) and demonstrates innovative solder pastes, including conventional and lead-free solder pastes, as well as SMT and conductive adhesives - in practical use with Ekra's printing machines.
WC Heraeus is one of the worldwide market leaders for innovative and environmentally friendly SMT materials.
Ekra signed a partnership agreement with Heraeus in November 2002 and recommends Heraeus products as "preferred choice" as their use will offer Ekra customers crucial advantages.
Ekra's other co-exhibitor EMS is a leading manufacturer of OEM-conform consumables offering cleaning rolls, cleaning tissues, cleaning chemistry, squeegees, squeegee holders and nozzles for SMT processes.
