Apex 2003 will see the North American launch of the very latest printing technology from Ekra

Apex 2003 will see the North American launch of the very latest printing technology from Ekra, including the lowest cycle times available on the market today with the X5SP and the largest board size capabilities with the E5-36. The X5 is Ekra's very successful automated inline printer series which combines maximum performance and flexibility and comes with the patented EVA vision system, with dual CCD cameras as standard.

The X5HSP is the very latest in the X5 series and has been designed specifically for ultra-high-throughput environments such as the automotive market.

The X5HSP offers the lowest cycle times available on the market today through its robust design and optimised motion control, that specifically targets high-speed operation.

Plus the true three-stage conveyor handling system and high-speed axis, allow for the highest reliability to be maintained while producing at the highest throughput levels.

The system is also equipped with Ekra's unique EVA vision system with dual software-controlled variable lighting as standard, to allow for the most robust vision performance available.

Optional features are the patented Ekra 2.5D post print inspection system, auto pin guidance, dual high capacity paste dispenser, environmental control and SPC software.

The E5 series of advanced technology inline printers from Ekra offer both ease of use and a high level of flexibility.

The latest in this series is the E5-36, which answers the market need for a high performance printer that can process boards used in the high-end Internet infrastructure and storage markets.

With a print area of 915 x 610mm, the E5-36 offers the largest board size capability available today in an inline fully automatic printer, while including features like the unique Ekra vision alignment system with software controlled variable lighting technology, the patented Ekra 2.5D post print inspection system and vacuum stencil wiping.

In addition to these two new product offerings, Ekra will also exhibit their E1 entry-level semi-automatic printer and the E4 compact value based inline printer at Apex 2003.
