A new USB touch controller supports the Microsoft USB-HID profile.
eGalax has released a new USB touch controller that supports the Microsoft USB-HID profile.
Microsoft Windows provides a general driver for hardware which includes the USB-HID class device, and so users do not have to install any drivers before using the device.
This kind of interface is relatively commonplace for many devices, such as mice, keyboards, joysticks etc.
Now that level of plug and play convenience extends to touchscreen control.
