'On the pulse', a technical seminar for embedded engineers to be held near Cambridge on 17th March is attracting engineers from across the UK. This event is probably the first of its type in Europe, and will discuss the technology and trends in electronic medical device development. Registrations have come from engineers working with key medical industry players as well as engineers working in other sectors.

The event is set to be a great success.

'This will be very much a hands-on event, discussing real issues and real technology'.

'The presentations will be at a technical level', said organiser Richard Blackburn of Energi Technical.

'We have some powerful presentations lined up that will discuss issues such as the development of safety critical software and FDA approvals, wireless technology for the medical industry, interoperability of medical devices and trends in debugging technology'.

'So it should be a very worthwhile event for anyone in the embedded sector and also a rare opportunity to meet some experts in this field such as Tony Baghai of Enea TekSci, who will be flying in from the USA to present'.

Key industry vendors such as Freescale, Enea Embedded Technology, SDC Systems, iSystem and Artisan Software will be exhibiting and presenting demonstrations of their latest embedded development technology.

This event is free and open to engineers working in the embedded sector.

Spaces are limited so early registration is required.
