Electrolube is to launch a range of new, nonflammable cleaners at this year's Productronica show.
With low VOC content, the four products are highly suitable for engineers working on live equipment or those applications where flammability is a big safety issue.
The new range is a nonflammable mirror of existing, proven products, and features a switch cleaner lubricant (SWC), a contact cleaner (CCC), a flux remover (FRC) and a degreaser (DGC).
All are available in 200ml aerosols for portability and convenience.
To aid the cleaning process the packaging on SWC contains an extension tube, and the packaging on CCC, FRC and DGC contains a brush attachment and an extension tube.
The switch cleaner lubricant deposits a fine protective film of high quality contact treatment oil to prevent arcing and corrosion, while the solvent from the remaining three products evaporates quickly, leaving no residue and eliminating wiping down and rinsing.
The switch cleaner lubricant is designed to remove surface contamination and oxidation from all metallic contact surfaces.
It reduces electrical resistance across the switch or connector by increasing the surface area of the contact, and is safe for use on most plastics and can be used on live equipment.
The contact cleaner is a high-precision, nonconductive cleaner with high materials compatibility.
A fast-drying solvent specially formulated for the quick and efficient cleaning of electrical equipment, it can be used on electrical contacts, tape heads, PCBs, components in electronic and video equipment, computers, optical and precision instruments, and cameras.
Effective on no-clean fluxes, as well as many water-based fluxes and pastes, the flux remover exhibits rapid cleaning and fast evaporation rates, and the degreaser is versatile, noncorrosive and safe for use on all types of electrical circuits as well as more heavy duty cleaning applications.
