With power dissipation up to 25W, styles are available for axial and vertical mounting.

The low-cost Meggitt SQ Series of power resistors, available direct from stock at Easby, includes values from 0.1W to 150kW, for the axial SQPs, and from 0.1W to 100kW for the vertically mounted SQMs.

The resistors are embodied in a ceramic case to give high insulation resistance, low surface temperature and an excellent temperature coefficient of resistance of +/-300ppm/C.

They offer power ratings from 2 to 25W.

The lower resistor values are wire-wound, while the larger values are metal oxide.

The vertically mounted SQM resistors are ideal for PCB mounting with their 5mm pin spacing.

The Meggitt SBCHE Series of axial wire-wound power resistors is designed to withstand high overload currents.

The full range of values is from 0.2W up to 22kW with power ratings from 4 to 17W.

The resistors possess one extended lead, enabling vertical mounting of the component, while the fluted ceramic coating offers a high insulation resistance and low surface temperature.

The temperature coefficient of resistance for the SBC range is +/-200ppm/C (+/-400ppm/C under 18W).

The SBCHE resistors are particularly suited to a variety of industrial and commercial applications where performance and reliability are of prime importance.
