Equipped with an Intel 875P chipset, this board is designed to unleash the full power of Intel P4 processors by optimising memory access between CPU and system memory on 800MHz FSB and dual-channel DDR 400 configurations. The EMB-9277 has four 184-pin DIMM sockets supporting up to 4Gbyte DDR 266/333/400 ECC/non-ECC SDRAM.
Additionally, the platform features one 1/4/8X AGP slot to support 3D graphics display, AC97 5.1 CH audio, integrated eight USB 2.0 ports that are 40 times the speed of USB 1.1, and a built-in option for dual Ethernet ports using either 10/100 or gigabit Ethernet controllers.
The latest Intel RAID technology supports dual Independent Serial ATA interfaces to facilitate high-speed storage transfers and easy hard drive upgrades.
Moreover, a TCPA-compliant module allows the EMB-9277 to be used as a secure computing platform, particularly important for transaction terminals.
