Dynex Semiconductor has been awarded ISO14001 certification - the international environmental quality standard. The ISO14001 standard recognises environmental management systems that provide quantified, objective measures to ensure ever-greater reductions in energy use, environmental impact and natural resource depletion. Dynex has achieved this certification as part of its ongoing commitment to improving the environment through its processes and products.

Michael LeGoff, President and CEO commented, "We are very pleased to have achieved the ISO14001 environmental certification.

We consider it recognition by an international standards body for the way we have been operating for some time.

The certification follows on from receiving this year's top award by the National Microelectronics Institute as the UK's most energy efficient semiconductor manufacturing plant".

"We have worked hard to minimise our emissions, effluent, waste and energy consumption in our manufacturing processes.

We are also proud to support our customers around the world through the supply of very high-energy power semiconductors.

Our products are used to improve the electrical efficiency in power distribution systems, low emission electric vehicles and in sustainable energy applications such as wind and solar power generation.

This certification strengthens our position as an international supplier and enhances business performance while ensuring good environmental stewardship".

Dynex recently announced the results for the third quarter of FY02, with revenue of $9.97 million and earnings of $347,814 for the quarter.
