DSP Design has introduced a new LaunchPad PC/104 application development kit that supports Linux.
Linux is an extremely fast and efficient Unix type operating system that was designed to provide PC users with an open-source operating system comparable in performance with existing proprietary systems.
Known as LP400LIN, this new application development kit is supplied with a version of the Linux operating system configured to provide virtually everything that the user is likely to need.
This means that the user avoids the time consuming task of adapting the operating system allowing work to begin on application development within minutes of unpacking the development kit.
LaunchPad includes a PC/104 processor board, a Compact Flash Card preloaded with the Linux operating system, full documentation and sample software plus necessary hardware accessories.
The complete system is housed in a smart laptop carrying case.
