Laurence Marchini, Editor, writes:
My editorial colleague on the "Engineeringtalk" newsletter last week put out a simple request for suggestions as to how we might improve this service, and received an extremely intelligent and constructive response from his circulation. Many of the ideas are already under consideration, and we'll incorporate them on Electronicstalk too if they're successful.
So I'd like to offer Electronicstalk readers the chance to make your own contribution. Over the past few months, as a direct result of reader feedback, we've reduced the number of clicks it takes to get to a supplier's website from the news pages on our website, and we're about to introduce a new "reader enquiry" service which will allow you to request information with just a single click from this newsletter. But I'm sure many of you have thought at one time or another: "Wouldn't it be good if…?"
Now's your chance to let me know. I promise I'll read every suggestion, and (so long as a thousand of you don't reply) I'll respond to your suggestions. Meanwhile, back to sorting through all those launch announcements from Electronica in Munich. Our intrepid representatives out there have been very quiet so far. Must be busy…
I hope you find this issue of our weekly newsletter useful. In addition to the new products, news and ideas featured here, there are hundreds more on our website and dozens more being added daily, so do take a look if you can. Alternatively, the full stories behind all the summaries and headlines in this newsletter can be retrieved by email alone: see details below.
Best wishes
