Aaeon's latest compact SBC, the PCM-6896, features support for both Intel Pentium III and Celeron CPUs

At only 8 by 5.75in, it is aimed at embedded applications that require cost-effective, high-power computing and high-end multimedia and networking applications which require high speed and performance. Multimedia flexibility is assured with an integrated SoundBlaster-compatible PCI 3D audio capability, and the board will drive both CRT and LCD simultaneously, at up to 1024 x 768 resolution at 256k colours.

In addition, it supports both DiskOnChip and Compact Flash memory to extend its capability further.

Supporting Intel's 815E 10/100Mb Ethernet controller for higher network performance, the board also provides four high speed serial ports, one multimode parallel port, supports two floppy drives, and has an Ultra DMA/100 mode and enhanced IDE controller supporting up to two devices.

In addition, there are the customary keyboard and mouse interfaces.
