DISL has announced a new half-day training workshop covering Scorpion Vision Software. It is offered free of charge to interested parties. Colin Francis, Operations Director said that because of the oversubscription of previous training courses and the differing levels of expertise that the trainers have to deal with, the company has plans that will aim to service the needs of those customers that want to find out more about Scorpion but can't afford the time to attend a full course; and those that already have expertise but would like an opportunity to have a face to face discussion with Scorpion Vision engineers.

Scorpion Vision Software is a robust, industry proven PC-based application that uses the IEE1394 (Firewire) interface to control and acquire image data from digital cameras.

Using a standard PC, Firewire camera and Scorpion Vision Software, process engineers can create advanced vision applications to inspect, check, monitor or measure any part of the manufacturing process.

Scorpion Vision software is an advanced vision platform that uses a suite of tools that allow the user to develop their vision application without programming.

The toolset is comprehensive and no doubt overwhelming to the first-time user.

These workshops will therefore be invaluable to all levels of experience as they will cover 'getting started' tutorials, but also advanced 'how to' scenarios.

The workshops will take place on a monthly basis, initially at the company's headquarters in Southampton, UK.

Future demand will dictate the geographical locations at a later date.
