Neal Turner, the former Managing Director of Deltron-Roxburgh, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer - Distribution, Deltron Electronics Group.

Neal Turner, the former Managing Director of Deltron-Roxburgh, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer - Distribution, Deltron Electronics Group, and Gordon Campbell, previously managing director of Deltron-Hawnt, has replaced him at Deltron-Roxburgh Both appointments are effective from 1st April 2002

Neal Turner will report directly to the Deltron Electronics plc Board, working closely with Chief Executive Christopher Sawyer to ensure that the Group reaps full benefit from its European operations.

Eur 27 million has been invested during the past year alone, in the acquisition of key businesses including Hawnt Electronics in the UK, the Camax Group in Italy and Radikor in the Netherlands.

This has grown the company by 25% and brought the number of European countries in which Deltron operates to nine.

As Chief Operating Officer, Turner's focus will be on helping local management throughout Europe with the integration of their operations into the Group network, in order to add value to their service to customers on behalf of both existing and new supplier franchises.

Suppliers gain in the knowledge they have access to a Europe-wide distribution service, at the same time as having the specialist local and design-in expertise needed to create demand for their products.

All European customers benefit by having an efficient next day delivery service for the top E-mech components and the specialised design-in expertise of a highly trained technical sales force together with a vendor reduction opportunity.

Since the acquisition of Hawnt Electronics by Deltron in 2001, Gordon Campbell has played a key role with Neal Turner in integrating the businesses of Hawnt and Deltron-Roxburgh in the UK to the satisfaction of both suppliers and customers.

In his new role he heads up the combined UK operations and will be based at the Deltron Group's European Distribution Centre in Scunthorpe.

Commenting on these key management changes, Christopher Sawyer, President and Chief Executive of the Deltron Group said, "The importance of adding value to the service we offer our key E-mech franchises and the specialist interface we have with our many customers across Europe cannot be over-emphasised and these appointments reflect this philosophy.

As Deltron continues to grow and win new franchises, it is vital that reliability and efficiency of service are maintained and improved.

Neal and Gordon have the experience and track records to make this happen".
