Mass imaging leader's top market standing is again reaffirmed with recognition for its technology innovation and outstanding service and support record

With APEX as the backdrop for DEK's invitation to customers to 'expect more' and discover just how much more DEK delivers, the mass imaging leader's top market standing was again reaffirmed with recognition for its technology innovation and outstanding service and support record. For the fourth straight year, DEK was selected to participate in show organiser IPC's Innovative Technology Centre.

This year, however, an unprecedented two products - DEK's 3D-Find-a-Part software and Cyclone understencil cleaning technology - were chosen by the judging panel as products that deliver new, functional capability and real and relevant value to the electronics manufacturing supply chain.

DEK's 3D Find-a-Part software is a unique parts-verification and re-ordering system that enables 24/7 online access of customer-specific machine parts and assemblies.

The program is built based on original engineering drawings, thus ensuring always up-to-date records and eliminating the need to source outdated and cumbersome printed parts manuals.

The second honour was given to DEK's revolutionary understencil cleaning technology called Cyclone.

With a five-stage cleaning head, an innovative oscillating action that occurs in tandem with traverse and a fast, cassette-based paper changeover, Cyclone provides a more thorough cleaning than traditional systems while cutting cleaning time in half and reducing paper changeover to mere seconds.

Displays highlighting both products were included in a special section on the APEX show floor designated for the Innovative Technology Centre.

Commenting on the Innovative Technology Showcase accolades, John Hartner, CEO of DEK, says: 'Technology leadership and innovation remain cornerstones of DEK's philosophy'.

'We have consistently developed leading-edge products for market advancement and continued to push the envelope by engineering solutions for the next generation, as evidenced by these latest products and the market recognition and validation they have received'.

But, for product innovation to be truly powerful, it must be backed by superior service and support.

For the fifth consecutive year, customers have voted DEK tops in service and the company has won another Service Excellence Award.

Sponsored by Circuits Assembly magazine, the Service Excellence Awards programme surveys participants' customers who are asked provide rankings in five categories: dependability, ease of use, responsiveness, technology and value for the price.

For five uninterrupted years, DEK has scored the highest in the screen printing category.

'We are very gratified that our unrelenting focus on service and support has continuously been acknowledged by our customers and the marketplace at large', says Neil MacRaild, DEK Americas General Manager.

'DEK's commitment to delivering superior service tools like 3D Find-a-Part and providing process know-how and expertise will remain at the company's core'.

'Winning five Service Excellence Awards is no coincidence - our customers do 'expect more' and DEK consistently delivers more'.
