"This equipment will allow us to inspect fine-pitch SMT and advanced semiconductor stencil apertures down to 50 x 50um, thus delivering to our customers superior stencil products for their most demanding applications", said MacRaild.
The inspection system can detect errors with an accuracy of +/-5um, handle stencils with a frame size of up to 820 x 1000mm, examine any type of stencil and locate damage that occurred during stencil use.
Positional defects, dimensional errors and missing apertures are also detected with this system.
"As decreasing pitches and increasing component densities become the norm, superior inspection technology is critical to producing error-free stencils and ultimately problem-free electronic products", said MacRaild.
"This latest and significant enhancement to our advanced stencil manufacturing operations puts DEK stencil products in a class by themselves".
