DEK's Vortex concept performs wet, vacuum and dry cleaning in a single pass, and features a cleaning cassette that is quickly and easily replenished. "Vortex Plus builds on the cycle time and changeover savings delivered by the first generation Vortex system, and enhances cleaning efficiency", said Martin Symons, Machine Options Product Manager.
Vortex Plus now delivers greater cleaning power by introducing an additional oscillatory scrubbing action, while retaining the established advantages of the original Vortex system.
These include around 66% shorter cleaning cycle time, prevention of contamination by fibres or lint, and faster replenishment that is also less operator intensive compared to traditional paper roll cleaners.
The foam cleaner cassette is simply lifted out from above, and can be replaced in under 60s.
Vortex Plus is available for ELA, Horizon and Infinity machines in a range of sizes from approximately 300 to over 500mm.
A field upgrade is now available for ELA, Horizon and Infinity machines currently in service.
Owners of 265GSX and 265LT platforms will also be able to upgrade to Vortex Plus in the near future.
DEK's large format Vista machines are also fitted with a 600-size Vortex Plus cleaner as standard.
