Guide justifies ProFlow process
Continuing DEK's commitment to helping customer's maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of ProFlow Direkt Imaging, DEK has published a free implementation guide
The guide has been designed to help users get the best from their enclosed print head technology using DEK's ProFlow system, which has allowed surface mount manufacturers achieve new levels of process repeatability, flexibility and paste efficiency. The guide is intended for use by anyone involved with introducing ProFlow to their SMT production lines - particularly process engineers and technicians.

The guide contains three comprehensive sections.
The first introduces the ProFlow process, providing comparisons between ProFlow and squeegees.
Section two covers in-depth the seven critical factors vital to a successful implementation.
These involve: transfer head selection, tooling (pins, FormFlex, dedicated), wiper selection, paste selection (testing and also DEK's paste database), stencil design rules, (both normal and ProFlow specific), training for machine operators and process engineers and technicians, parameter settings (machine, process and optimising print speed and pressure).
The third section provides real data analysis, collected both in the lab and also at customer sites, a useful justification of the ProFlow process.
