Now available from Dexter Magnetic Technologies is Fair-Rite's 46 material EMI suppression products. This material is aimed at reducing costs without losing performance. Products manufactured with this material are environmentally green, economically lean and electromagnetically clean.

During the last 5 years ferrite manufacturers have experienced dramatic price increases in the cost of nickel oxides.

The increase in demand from the Chinese metal industry has caused a worldwide shortage and price increases.

To combat this scenario Fair-Rite has developed this new material that maintains a very acceptable performance level compared to its 43 material.

This material has no nickel oxide content, is RoHS compliant, cost effective and with a similar impedance and frequency range to 43 material.

Typical impedance of a 43 material cylindrical cable core with dimensions of 25.9 x 12.8 x 28.6mm is 235ohm at 100MHz; the same size core in 46 material is rated for 210ohm at 100MHz.
