SBC hides behind quarter-VGA display
A novel Intel PXA255 based processor card fits neatly behind a quarter VGA display to create an instant "switch on and use" solution for mobile applications
Combining two areas of technology where it already has proven expertise, Densitron Technologies has developed an Intel PXA255 based processor card which fits neatly behind its quarter VGA display to create an instant "switch on and use" solution for mobile applications. In addition to the ARM CPU, the Densitron DPX-255 also features Microsoft's CE.NET operating system that is preloaded and ready for use.

Typically drawing 1.5W or less, the DPX-255 is ideal for any situation where a high quality, multi-featured graphics interface is needed to fit in equipment where space is at a premium, but is particularly aimed at handheld and portable equipment.
Packaged as a total solution, the DPX-255, with its display, processor board and operating system in a fully supported single unit, is a time and cost saving component, which also reduces development risks.
Featuring three serial ports, USB client, Ethernet interfaces and compact Flash slot, the board also provides controllers for keypad, touchscreen and audio, optional dual PCMCIA interfaces and battery management circuits.
Densitron also offers a selection of displays for use with the DPX-255, which include quarter VGA mono to half VGA colour, full VGA and above.
