Aspocomp Group has purchased the Supermax ECAD layout solution from DDE-EDA for design of thick-film hybrid circuits. This software investment will strengthen Aspocomp EMS group's capabilities in supplying the electronics market with high technology design, manufacturing, and logistics services in the Nordic and European area. The selection of Supermax ECAD follows an extensive and successful benchmark of the tool's capabilities.
Supermax ECAD enables Aspocomp to complete advanced hybrid circuits fast by offering a very high level of design automation in the thick film and LTCC area while preserving earlier investments in CAD libraries and manufacturing formats.
Jyrki Karlbom, Systems Manager at Aspocomp Group says, "As a design tool, Supermax ECAD showed the highest level of automation of our very demanding hybrid design flow combined with an on-line rule checking for ensured manufacturability".
Under the terms of the agreement, DDE will also provide Aspocomp with education and consultancy services to assist in an effective and efficient use of the full design capabilities within Supermax ECAD.
"Although Supermax ECAD won the PCB Benchmark 2000 awards for ease of use and favourite feature", smiles Per Viklund, DDE's Technical Manager, "we are committed to providing our customers with the services that will help keep their design group at peak performance and thereby protecting their investment.
These services give Aspocomp access to a wealth of technological expertise to meet their product development challenges".
