Data Device Corp is continuing its support of DataSIMS and DataMARS high performance software solutions for development, integration and testing of avionics systems and subsystems. DDC's most recent releases have been improved by DDC software engineers to include new functions to support existing features in DDC's board products. "DDC plans to continue to sell, support and add features to the DataSIMS and DataMARS software packages into the foreseeable future", says Todd Decker, Marketing Manager for DDC's MIL-STD-1553 products.
Decker's statement comes amid rising concerns about how the recent changes and downsizing of the Israel based Ampol Technologies may affect DDC's ability to support these products.
Early in 2003, DDC began preparations to independently support the DataSIMS and DataMARS products.
"We now have full access to the source code for DataSIMS and DataMARS software as well as software design and software application engineering resources assigned to continue development and support customers for these powerful products", Decker said.
"Since late in 2003, DDC has been selling and supporting these products independently and we have adequate resources to continue sales for at least 4-5 years", he added.
